Affordable Housing
Employing the New York State Affordable Housing Corporation grant program, CDC has developed hundreds of housing units for first-time home buyers Grants up to $25,000 lower the cost of the house, making it more affordable for a moderate-income purchaser. Our homeownership counselors also refer CDC clients to other not-for-profit and municiple programs that support affordable housing programs.
Cottages at Mattituck
In 2007, CDC developed the Cottages at Mattituck, a residential work force housing community in the Town of Southold.
Twenty-two families are living the dream of homeownership - many of them have found a home in the same town they were born and raised.
