History & Mission
In 1969, a group of concerned Long Islanders came together to address the growing demand for nondiscriminatory affordable housing opportunities. 41 years later, CDC employs over 90 people, serves both Nassau and Suffolk counties, and provides a variety of programs and services that address the dynamic challenges faced by those who live and work on Long Island.
CDC supports the housing and economic aspirations of individuals, families and small businesses through exemplary stewardship of resources entrusted to us.
