Home Improvement Program
The Home Improvement Program helps home owners make repairs to their homes. The Program is funded by the New York State Affordable Housing Corporation and the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation. Grants, deferred payment loans and low interest loans are available to those who qualify. The goal of the program is to correct basic structural defects and to repair basic building systems which threaten the health and safety of the dwelling's residents.
Typical repairs include: electrical service upgrades, electrical wiring, HVAC, roof replacement, energy efficiency measures, structural corrections, steps, stoops, walkways and health & safety measures. A workscope is developed by a trained housing inspector utilizing a home safety survey and evaluation form. The workscope is bid out to our licensed insured contractor groups. CDC does construction, supervision and a final inspection to ensure that all work was done according to specification and building codes.Program guidelines and Application
